Abbey Large Parcel Storage

Very easy to build, I wanted a lockable box that could be used for deliveries for when I'm not at home. Somewhere where parcels could be left in all weather's.
With a little bit if modifications this box will do the job.
I added extra screws while assembling the box to make it more sturdy. It's very lightweight so then secured the box to the external wall so that a would be thief can't just pick the whole thing up and walk away with it.
I've added a combination padlock which I can now add to additional delivery instructions which the courier can then use to gain access to the box to leave parcels.
It isn't too big, but also not too small either so should at least hold larger parcels. I can now feel more at ease knowing any parcels left while I am out will not be sat in full view or getting soaked with the rain.
Obviously being made of plastic it would be easy enough for someone to come along and smash it up, however woth the box being in view it would make it more noticeable.
Perfect for what I needed and means I no longer have to sit around waiting for deliveries all day long.
I would say though if you purchase high end expensive items most of the time then this wouldn't be suitable, bit if like me you just want to keep parcels safe from the weather and not on display this is perfect.
I would suggest though like we did to use screws to attach the sides to each other to make it more sturdy and also either weigh it down with bricks (which will then reduce the amount of space inside) or like we did secure to a wall (remember to leave a gap between wall and box so it can open!)

Very easy to put together. Very useful. Is somewhat light so I have put a slab in the bottom so it won't keep lifting up with the lid. I have also put a drawer handle on it so it's easier to pull the lid up

Bought this to store outdoor garden goods in and found it to be light so had to put bricks in the bottom to hopefully make sure it dosen't blow away.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. Very easy to put together well worth the money would recommend to a friend give you 5stars.

A great bin, but as it’s lightweight. I have now placed some bricks inside it to keep it in place. The only problem we have is with delivery people using it.

What I can’t understand is why delivery people (and that includes Amazon) insist in leaving parcels by the front door, so they get ruined in the rain instead of placing them in the bin provided and located right next to our front door!. It’s says “deliveries” on the bin, so it cannot be mistaken. Also the bin is not locked, so there is no excuse.
